Answer for question 4555.
Sunday, 22 November 2015 04:36[Error: unknown template qotd]As a child, I dunno. I don't remember ever being sick as a child. Maybe I was a healthy child?
I do remember Mom being all eager to try weird remedies... like.... cooking honey and garlic and lemon juice in water, or steaming an orange with a lot of salt, and the like.... in recent years... maybe my Mom was trying to catch up on the past of not really treating us when we were sick?? I really dunno.
I just hate being sick....
The one constant when sickness ensues is just something that isn't really remedial... is congee (or porridge I guess?). It's like a staple when someone, anyone, gets sick. So much so that, nowadays if I do get sick, but am still well enough to go to work, I also order for congee for lunch.
