Attempt at chic-cafe-breakfast-snob-work
Saturday, 28 November 2015 12:25So, after Tuesday (my day off taking the dog to the vet's for teeth scaling), I sort of acquired the taste of having my laptop and working on it over breakfast in a cafe.
So I attempted doing that this morning.
I knew there was this cafe that opens at 8.00am near my place, the owner is a friendly Australian guy and they serve all-day breakfast anyway, so I figured, I'll go there today!
To find out that, they've changed their operating hours. Meh. So I had to head over to... Starbucks.
I don't dislike Starbucks. I love their Green Tea Latte. I hate the clientele.
So I was working resutely on the minutes from the Animal Welfare thingie (from last night) and then hoardes of "new rich novoricos" kids meander in, grabe three tables on my left, and another group of the same grab two tables on my front.
And they chatter and make discussions and oh gods just shut up.
Starbucks is just too mainstream and for the younger crowd.
Did I just say that? Did I just admit I'm in the older crowd? OMG.
Anyway, I have the meeting minutes issued, I prepared the next meeting agenda, I made a couple follow up calls, my work is done, the experience has me back into my introverted self. I want to go home. I'm going to hide at home. Now.
