Le Friday Five!
Saturday, 28 November 2015 13:58This week's
thefridayfive isn't exactly my cup of tea as I'm not a fashion person...
1. Describe your favorite outfit.
I don't have a favourite outfit. I have work clothes, and I have weekend clothes. If I need to look a little more chic during the weekends, then I have to dip into the work clothes. I have 2 cocktail dresses in the off chance that I need to wear one, and I don't have anything more formal or nice than that.
2. Describe your personal style.
Casual. Jeans and a t-shirt, sneakers. I don't wear sandals (unless my destination warrants that), and in winter I have a hoodie sort of thing over.
3. Approximately how much do you spend on fashion/personal care annually?
I'm still wearing work suits from 10 years ago. I get some new t-shirts every now and then. I spend a minimum at clothes... Skincare on the other hand... I have facial packages at a salon, and I think I spend a maximum 20K local currency at skincare every year... that would make it... I dunny, $2500 USD?
4. Do you dress for yourself or for everyone else?
Depends on the occassion. Usually, I dress for myself - comfy is the key.
Sometimes when the occassion calls for it, then OK, I dress up a bit (the only reason why I have a cocktail dress at all)
5. Give us your best fashion/personal care advice.
I'm the last one you'd like to approach for advice. But my advice would be, wing it and bluff it for what it's worth. People saying you've got dog hair all over your clothes? Hey, it's fashion to wear fur. It's a fashion statement. People say you don't press your shirt? Hey, it's the material, it's supposed to be wrinkled. It's a fashion statement. But always wear comfortable, sensible shoes.

I have a plaque at my workdesk that says "Dog hair: it's a fashion statement", hopefully that's what keeps my boss from nagging at me :P
