1. Are your "LJ friends" friends to you, or just acquaintances?
Similar question to a previous Friday Five. Surely there are some LJ friends that I know better than others. I do have a couple of LJ friends that have eventually turned into "real friends" (if I must use that term). I admit I consider most of my LJ friends are acquaintances. But that's how all friends start out to be, isn't it? They are all acquaintances, and over time, with communication and understanding we turn into friends.

2. How do you feel about modern feminism?
I don't have a particularly strong view of any sort of -isms. I would say I support equality and women's movement (due to the steep imbalance in the past), but it feels like recent views of whatever -isms have turned fanatical. It's like, suppose my previous phrase - "equality", but these feminist fanatics tend to tip the scale so badly that it gets turned into some kind of female entitlement. And that just defeats the purpose. And I do not feel like wasting energy in dealing and arguing with these types of people.

3. Do you look down on people for their LJ habits, or do you think everyone's entitled?
I firmly believe in the unwritten "don't like, don't read" rule at LJ. So everyone is entitled to expressing their own thing in their own LJ, but this entitlement ends at commenting on other people's LJ. Maybe a comment of "let's agree to disagree" is ok, but outright bashing people just because of a different opinion? Come on, don't like, don't read, pronto!

4. Have you ever been flamed? If so, what for?
I think there was a similar question before and while I remember that yes, something along the lines of "being flamed" happened but it's something I never took to heart, so... I don't remember...

5. What is it about LJ that keeps you posting here?
It's my space - I can control who sees this and who doesn't, there's even a private option. It's like keeping this endless notebook with all my thoughts and ramblings. I've had several other blogs that I eventually stopped, and it's always just LJ that I come back to. I guess I like the platform, I like the icons, I like the privacy options, together with the communities and my LJ friends that keep me here and interested... I need to better sort my tags to make this all neat is what I have to do, really...

That's a good answer, re:feminism, more or less my opinion on it as well these days.

What does 'being flames' mean?

I agree with 1, 3, and 5. I admit I don't really know what modern feminism is (or even feminism in general, and maybe I am a feminist and don't even know it), and I don't really know what flaming is, lol. Man, this comment is mostly useless, I'm so sorry!
