The good news and the bad

The good news is, I've finally written out my post for my London trip in January. I've also uploaded the photos on Flickr!

The bad news is, I seem to be in a spot of posting trouble - I have the post written on a Word document, in HTML code, and the trouble is with the LJ post entry page thing, even on the HTML editor, seem to be taking the copied text as Rich text; as soon as I hit post, the post is mucked up, and when I hit edit, the HTML code has gone all crazy.

I suppose I'll just have to write the entire thing from scratch on the new post editor instead of copy and paste. I'll probably have time to do that on Thursday. The post will come soon!

Have you tried taking the word document and converting it to plain text before pasting it into the livejournal html editor? I wonder if this could be done by composing a letter to yourself at gmail, if you have a gmail account, selecting the entire post, and then clicking the 'remove formatting' button?

Done that, pasted the thing in notepad to remove all rich format then pasted that on plain text editor. I'm somehow convinced it's the quotation marks used as somehow it's changed. Just small trouble re-typing everything into the entry box, I'll live.
