Surprised it's available

I'm in 2 reading groups in Goodreads but I almost never participate because mostly the books that get chosen are not available to me.

This time though, they've chosen one that the local library carries. I shall try to participate this time! Persepolis.

I'm also in a MeetUp reading group but that's based in Hong Kong (spending USD$80+ on traveling just to join a reading group meetup feels a bit excessive and splurgy to me), and similarly their books tend to be not available to me. It sucks, trying to get a book in Macau. The libraries are trying, but still not good enough. There was once I got the book! But it wasn't at the library, I had to buy it on the kindle. *shrugs*

Now, I have to find some time tomorrow and skiv off work and go to the library to check it out!

It 's hard to do goodreads group reads. I haven't done one yet because I either don't want to read the book or don't own the book and don't want to buy it. I don't use the library because I have so many of my own books to read. :) I hope you'll have a good time reading it with them.

Oh, I love that book and the follow up. Did you know there's an animated film on the book? Same name.
