Sickness.... seriously?

I kind of get the impression that when people get sick, they lose appetite, just have this sick face, and can't do anything.

Unless it's really stomach or digestive tract related, whenever I get sick...... I am famished.

I can feel I've been fending off the pesky flu for a couple of days already. Yesterday, the running nose started, but I still didn't consider myself sick. Today, I know I'm officially sick. I've already had dinner, finished at 20.30. Now it's like 22.30. I'm famished again. I'm hungry. I had some soda crackers. Still hungry. I'm considering making a toast. My throat is also all prickly. I've been sneezing all day.

I'm sure I'm sick. And I was going on so well, this is the longest streak I've managed not being sick.

Dad got hospitalized today as well, but it's more of a precaution or anything. Mom teased me a bit. When she called me she said "Dad is being admitted to the hospital today," and my first reaction was, "what about the car?" so she answered "I'm driving it home."

Back at home I asked her how Dad is, and she said "what, you hear your Dad is hospitalized and your first question is what about the car?"

Hey! Dad complained of some discomfort, and being hospitalized would mean an overnight observation, so he's in good hands! But Mom hasn't driven the car in forever and I wasn't sure if she was taking it well, so of course I asked about the car. I might have needed to driver her home!

Tomorrow we'll find out what exactly is wrong with him. It's either his blood thinners are not working (his blood has been continuously a tad on the thick side for the past few weeks), or he developed an allergy, or rheumatism, or his cancer came back. I'm talking like I'm not worried, but of course we all are. But it's no use worrying, so I'll just wait till the doctors come back with somehting tomorrow.

I'm so hungry........................................

Get well soon! I am always hungry when I'm sick, as well. I usually can't eat much at a time, but I do snack all day when I'm fighting off a bug or something.

Best wishes for your father! I hope that the doctors are able to figure out what is up and help him out quickly.

you are obviously a strong person if you're able to be practical in stressful situations. a lot of people mistake that for callousness, but someone's gotta hold things together when times get rough!

I hope whatever is up with your father isn't serious! My father is on blood thinners as well, I worry about him.
