Dog-ventful Weekend

Saturday morning, we did our weekend "countryside" walk with the dogs - the weather has cooled down enough that we can do that again. It's wonderful because the dogs also like to see a bit of what wild we could get in this city.
Then in the afternoon, I volunteered a bit of my time for one of the Animal Welfare associations. They had an electrical appliances (home use variety) auction going on and my job was to walk this lovely baby around. His name is On-On, available for adoption. If we didn't have 4 dogs I'd have snatched him up already. He's so our beloved Peppie (past dog, Tibetan Spaniel mix) - in color! (Peppie was white)
I managed to chat up a couple of the people participating in the event and they all seemed to like this dog very much. I of course tried to bring out the cuteness in him. Somebody snapped a photo of me while trying to hold the dog for a competition photo entry.
And here's one more close up for all our viewing pleasure. What a cute doggie! The 2-day event though, didn't yield any potential families for On-On but I heard the auction racked up a handsome amount for the association. They are going to rent a new space for 10 years guaranteed (a rare diamond in Macau) and they need to build the shelter.
Then on Sunday, after lunch, my Sis had to go back to her workplace (another animal rescue place) to trim a dog's face, so I tagged along, intending to visit my god-dog. I did, he's in good spirits, but I didn't manage to snap a photo of him. Instead I got a bunch of interlopers. My god-dog Leg-Leg (a 3-legged mutt) passed some time ago, but the shelter never officially told me. I'm still a little miffed, but can't hold a grudge against a shelter. My other god-dog is a Bull Terrier cutey called Bobo (not the one pictured above. Above is... Canaia I think)
It's sad going to these places but it has also made me think about spending more time there. I could walk Bobo more often (in fact, yesterday's trip was my first time seeing Bobo). There were also 2 Greyhounds there, lovely babies though a bit naive about their destructive capability. Bloody dog sucker-punch-scratched the right side of my mouth. Ouch.
There were also kittens! And I spent some time twirling a strap in front of them.
