elusivek1. What plans did you have for this summer?
For most of my adult life, I don’t have any plans for summer. My parents do their annual trip to Europe in summer, so my Sis and I have to stay put on a roster to ensure the puppies are taken care of.
That being said, every year in summer we both “adulting” properly LOL.
What it means is that when the parents are here, while they complain that we don’t do anything, the truth is, when we try to do something, they stop us from doing (like, “you don’t even know how to use the stove, let me do it!”) So now is a good time to brush up those cooking skills, do the laundry, and all that.
2. Have you accomplished them or is it still a work in progress?
As mentioned in the above point, I guess this is a time of survival? Anyway, I did say that with the parents gone, I’ll be using the bread machine (my dad prefers to make his own by hand than to use the machine, but then he almost never makes bread). They’re gone a week, and I’ve baked 2 loaves already. Going to get more ingredients tomorrow to bake another one.
3. What would make this summer much better for you?
Life is pretty good, I don’t need anything else in particular.
4. When did you go back to school from summer break when you were a kid?
Those used to be beginning of Septembers, by beginning, it really meant the first day (unless it fell on a Friday, then it will be pushed to the following Monday)
5. Is anyone else as shocked as I am that July and most of the summer is nearly over?
I’ve been counting (work related reasons) so I’m not surprised. In fact I want July to be gone so I can put this project behind me. As for what project I’m dealing with, I’ll write about it when it’s over.
