1. With Halloween coming this next week, do you have any seasonal activities you're planning on doing for the holiday?
Nah. Not a holiday for us. Though we know about the US-style dressing up and trick or treating and stuff.

2. What is your favorite Halloween or dress up party costume you've had?
Nope. Never participated.

3. Which do you like better, apple cider or pumpkin spice flavoring?
Given I haven’t still tasted real pumpkin spice, I can only say I like apple cider. I once tried a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte and it was yuck, but since it was Starbucks, I seriously doubt if that’s what pumpkin spice taste like. So I remain undecided.

4. What is your favorite scary movie and why?
I don’t watch much, well, I did watch like Annabelle and Exorcist and a few others, but I don’t have a favourite.
If I say Nightmare before Christmas, does it count? LOL

5. What traditionally "scary" monster or fear do you think is the most overrated and why?
Different customs, so I can’t really say. I can say that as a child I disregarded the “monster under the bed”... as under my bed was another rollout bed for the amah/maid/au pair so I just knew under the bed was another bed that when rolled out, then there’s nothing in there.

I guess for someone in the US, my childhood was pretty boring? Haha.

There is a new coffee shop at my office center that offers seasonal 'pumpkin spice' flavoured coffee. I might try it next week, their regular latte is very good. I might also be very sorry later, as I usually don't drink coffee too often - once every month or two.

Under the bed was a perfect place to hide during hide-and-seek, but that required regular and through cleaning, so I always knew what was under the bed. I actually do not remember parents telling me any stories about monsters. We did tell scary stories as teenagers, but we likely had quite different monsters than the ones in US and possibly Europe.

Talking about under the bed, I also read/hear about “dust bunnies”. Those are just those collected dust right? I guess if I roll out that under bed then underneath that under bed should be very, very dusty!

I never grew up with Halloween, and I think it's ridiculous that grown-ass adults love dressing up for the holiday. It's one thing if it's cosplay, but I don't think very much of the Halloween practice.

Me neither. It’s not a party holiday, so I don’t get why now people get all party-y about it. (Okay, I get the monetising bit)

Apart from carving them out we don't really do pumpkins in the UK either. I wish it was more readily available because I would love to make a pumpkin pie!

My dad mentioned the “classic” looking carved pumpkins aren’t really for cooking. Great for carving but the meat (flesh?) isn’t good. He cooks with other kinds of pumpkins that don’t look like those sharp orange ones.
