1. Has your house been renovated?
Yes, twice. Once was some 15 years ago, we covered half of our balcony/varanda and mom got new furniture for her room. I asked to have my room renovated to separate my sis and I but Mom figured (at that time) my sis wouldn’t come back from Austria and said I’m going to live in that room alone anyway.
Then a few years later my sis did come back and so we are stuck with bunk beds...
Then the second renovation was like just 3 years ago or so, we redid the kitchen counter and had some parts of the floor replaced. Oh, and we extended a water pipe to reach the balcony.
2. Have you ever painted a room?
I’ve looked at people paint a room but I haven’t done it myself.
3. Have you ever put in a new floor in a house?
Yes, but I guess what I know as putting in a new floor is not what it means here. We just changed the wood.
4. Have you ever worked with wallpaper?
Wallpaper will be a nightmare in this humidity. Though I’ve seen really nice ones!
5. Have you ever choose new colors for your flat or house?
During the first renovation I said I wanted white walls but Mom said no and had my room painted a very light pink. Then on the second renovation I requested an off white and got it.
As we are planning a renovation next month (going to dismantle the old furniture! We are getting separate rooms!) I want to do something wild! I’m thinking about getting three white walls and having one wall in a sharp, catchy color. Though that reminded me of... Sex and the City? The concept of having one red wall thing, I don’t know if it will work out. Anyway. I’m putting my plans in drawings again so that I can talk to the renovation guy.
