How I almost got another dog

elusivekSo on Saturday, I saw a post on Facebook about a French Bulldog found wandering the streets.
Usually the private shelters/rescues would work right at it so I didn’t pay it much mind.
Then on Monday I saw another post of the same dog. And I made up my mind. That dog will not stay another night outdoors.
So my sis and I drove out to the location. I found the dog too. It was tied up to a pillar. I heard it was running around and someone tied it to a pillar so rescuers can find it easy.
There was also a woman standing there. After a quick chat, I found out she was the person who made the first post. She found a shelter that was willing to take the dog, but she just needed a ride.
Well, I had plans to take the dog, but if a shelter has committed to taking it, I’d let the shelter have it. We drove the woman and dog there. In the car, the dog was an absolute angel.
We saw the shelter woman and I handed the dog off, saying I’ll miss it. She asked why wouldn’t I foster it meanwhile? I answered we don’t do fosters. We do forever. She laughed. She took the dog.
I think now they have come to the conclusion that it’s an abandonment case. Dog is not neutered, male, around or less than 1 years, pees everywhere and probably the reason why he was abandoned.
Anyway, when I got home, I thought my mom would be satisfied that I passed the dog to the shelter, but she asked me back “why didn’t you just bring him home?”
Geez, I didn’t know you were so receptive with bringing another dog from the streets home. I used to get yelled at when I did that (LOL).
So I’m now keeping track of the shelter to see when they are putting Frenchie up for adoption and then I’ll be queuing for that.
