Oh yeah I can be crazy if I want to.

It's currently 5:55 am as I'm waiting for 6am to register on the Apple website for getting the new iPhone.

.... And it's done! It was relatively painless, unlike a lot of the online registration things that happen here (such as: booking a badminton court, concert tickets, etc)... usually things sell out in like 5 minutes or the website crashes and nobody can book for anything.

So apparently, they ARE going to hold the Grand Prix this year. The issue was, because of the pandemic, essentially, no foreigners are allowed into Macau; only Chinese from China, Chinese from Taiwan, and Hong Kong residents are allowed to come in, with those from Hong Kong requiring a quarantine period. So some people had wanted to cancel the Grand Prix, but the GP committee has decided to push forward.

And people are grumbling about even Olympics was cancelled (or deferred), so why still proceed with the GP?

I'm just despairing because of the traffic. These are regular roads that people walk and drive on. They are going to seal off the race route/track. As a kid, I quite liked the GP, because my High/Secondary school was situation INSIDE the racetrack, so we usually got a holiday on race days... because it was too noisy for classes anyway. Now, to me it just causes traffic. (And my workplace is just next to the racetrack, so I still hear the noises.... haha)

There you go. So essentially we are sealed off with no outside business. Granted, Most of Macau's income comes from the Chinese from China (big gamblers and big shoppers), but I've heard colloquially that China is also trying to promote local provincial tourism. As in, keeping people within their own provinces. Wanna travel? You don't need to go to the next province, there's this, this, and this here!

But in any case. Enough of the bleak stuff, it's too early in a morning. I'm hungry. But it's too early for breakfast. It's too early to move around the apartment. So I'm just going to flop back over and sleep... LOL

My lunch yesterday. Had a yummy Hainan Chicken Rice. It must be loaded with calories because of the flavored rice and the chicken skin... but to not eat the skin of a Hainan Chicken is criminal. And this brings up another silly thing that I like to keep saying... Hainan Chicken 海南雞飯 is not a Hainan, China dish. It's a Singaporean dish. Singaporean fried vermicelli 星洲炒米 is not a Singaporean dish, it's a Hong Kong dish. African Chicken 非洲雞 is actually a Portuguese dish, and Portuguese Chicken 葡國雞 is a Macau dish.
