I'm not sure if this series of questions pertains to a specific item or things in general. I'll answer in either way that comes to mind.
1) What are your favorite things that are paper?
My Hobonichi planner. The tomoe river paper is just so good with fountain pen, I really like writing in them. Granted, I haven't journaled for 2 years now, but I still like that brand of paper very much. Best, I found out that in the fancy Japanese-style department store here, they are selling blocks of tomoe river paper in writing paper blocks... so I don't have to buy the Hobonichi journals for that.
2) What are your favorite things that are cotton?
I don't know... my bedsheets? As a kid, Mom was the one who "brought home the bedsheets" so I never could coordinate. It was always just a dark blue fitted sheet (that she bought in Austria in a mall/shop like C&A or whatever that had it for sale) and then whatever covers she deemed to get us... usually she chose some cheesy fabric and had a seamstress make it into a bedcover. And the pillowcases never matched.
Now, as I work and buy my own stuff, like getting the IKEA sets. The covers and pillowcases would match, and I just have to find a fitted sheet with a good color that coordinates well with the covers.
3) What are your favorite things that are leather?
I have a hand-me-down leather jacket from my Mom and I like very much. At one point in time, I wanted a long jacket (think Matrix style, but I didn't want it because of the Matrix. I just wanted a long leather jacket). Saved up for it. Bought it. A couple years later, didn't like it anymore. Then Mom was unpacking some old stuff and found that old old old leather jacket, and it fitted me, so she gave it to me. I really like it. A clean no-frills style.
4) What are your favorite things that are floral?
Hm.... I did have a floral pattern phase but I've grown past that. I do have a dried flowers ornament thingie at work though. If that counts.
5) What are your favorite things that are wood?
Oh, I bought a... what's that called... a desktop computer stand thing for my workstation at work. It's wood, it elevates the monitor up, and thus gives space for the keyboard to stow away under it. It's also got some drawers! Very handy and helps to keep my workspace clear, when I don't need to use the computer and I can just push the keyboard away!
And next are the questions from the website F.riday5.com
1. What most recently made you feel elated?
It's always the little things. Just this morning, I found out I had no more cereal for my breakfast, so I went down to the bakery to buy a sandwich bun. As I was going home, I saw my bestie on her way to her shop (the pastry place I mentioned here and there). Missed her for 2 weeks as we were supposed to have lunch 2 weeks ago but she came down with a case of mild stomach flu and had to cancel on me. So it was nice to catch up unexpectedly.
2. Where is the slowest elevator in the universe?
The one of my apartment building in Portugal!
3. When were you most recently in an airplane?
January 2020. I went to Danang for my birthday trip. I haven't been on a plane since then.
4. With what have you had it up to here?
There's some bullshit thing going on at work where we need to lay off some people, but the HR guy seems to be playing some tricks about it (claiming "the boss demanded 50% cut" but the boss said he never said that). There's more to this story, but not on a public post!
5. What’s a good song whose title contains the word “sky?”
Huh. "Sky" doesn't have to be in English right? 空にかける橋 by 奥井雅美 I guess. The one I really really like is レールのない空へ by DEEN, but I can't find a clip of the actual song. This link here is by someone singing over the karaoke track.
