So, the vaccine...
Tuesday, 9 February 2021 18:05The Macau Government has promised to provide the citizens with COVID vaccines, and will also buy insurance for all those who will sign up to get it. The first batch, which has opened up for registration this morning, with vaccination starting on 22-February, is the Inactivated vaccine (Sinopharm). There were 2 other choices, the mRNA (BioNTech) (available in March) and the Replication-defective adenovirus vector vaccine (AstraZeneca) (available in the third quarter).
After a quick research it seems the Inactivated vaccine seems like the safest of them? And also I heard Sinopharm is better than Sinovac? (But still, it's China...)
I've registered and booked myself for 26-February for the first shot. Then the second shot will be 4 weeks later.
I'm still researching though, and I can cancel that anytime. My friends and colleagues are all in awe that I'm so "brave" to be the first lot to get the vaccine. My thinking is... I just want to get it over and done with. Given the choice, I wouldn't get vaccinated anyway. But it's a you gotta do it, just whether now or later situation.
I know some of my F-list have gotten shots as well, let me stalk my F-list and see if anyone has any comments on it!
