Holidays really just fly by fast, don't they? It's already the last day of my long weekend, and I have to get back to work tomorrow.

Even Frankie here is upset that the short break over. No more extra afternoon walkies and extra belly rubs and squishing faces and butts and happy dances.

There's a bit to be said about people tagging and naming things. Like the Starbucks app has gone wonky and won't shown the seasonal specials in the Featured Drinks tab, and instead shows all the food items. Oh I also bought a new Starbucks tumbler but I forgot to shoot a photo, so I don't have it to show yet. It's the prettiest purple/lilac and it's so elegant and subtle and you wouldn't know it's actually Starbucks until you see the very tiny logo at the bottom. And then, at the buffet place where we had our Easter Lunch, they presented us a new kind of Brownies. *rolls eyes* But once again, their cheese selection is just superb and again I stuffed myself with cheese.

I'm not normally a Starbucks fan as... I actually don't like coffee. But they're doing a star rewards dash thing for me (or for my card tier), where if I shop with them in 5 days within their pre-defined days, then I get 25 stars. I couldn't reach the 5 days as by the time when I read about this promotion it was the last few days, so the most I can do is 4 days 20 stars. Not bad. For someone who hardly drinks coffee, I only collect stars to maintain my gold status when they do this kind of dash for stars promotion.

We walked past the wet market this morning, so I thought I'd shoot a couple photos to show. Dead fish pieces, in case you are squeamish about that. I've separated this into another cut so you can decide not to see this.

We again went for the hot pot rice in the food court above the wet market, and I had another of those black sesame dessert 芝麻糊... not the best I've had (it was in mainland China) but I shall continue to hunt for a good 芝麻糊 in town!

Annnnndddd... I bought a bottled Kombucha drink and I liked the taste of it. I also bought it for the probiotics as, although not really constipated, I was feeling a bit bloated so I thought drinking that would help, and lo and behold, it did help. But, a liter bottle of Kombucha (and all flavored) cost like MOP $60 a bottle... that's like USD $7.5 per liter bottle! It's a bit steep. So I went and tried to make my own Kombucha. As I have no idea where to get a Scoby, and the places that sell Kombucha drinks only sell the flavored drinks (2 times fermentation)... I can only brave it and try to make my own. So, it's done. I'm going to hide that bottle in my top cupboard, there's enough space in there, it's dark, and the temperature should be constant. I'll see in a month if I managed to grow a Scoby.

If that fails, I'll get a subscription at a local place, that's $550 for 12 bottles. I could maybe ask around if someone has some Scoby lying around for giveaway as well, but I don't really think that's a thing around here.
