Time for an update

elusivekI really don't have anything constructive to say, but wanted to say hi LOL.
I've been trying to read more of the books I've started. One of them is The Last Jew by Noah Gordon. It was super boring in the beginning, then when the father died it started to get interesting, and then it was all about how the main character banged some lady, then paid to bang some other lady, then attempting to bang yet another lady *rolls eyes*. The interestingness has sort of tapered off for a bit... I need to find my rhythm for reading again.
Oh oh oh, so on my other post I mentioned getting a new Starbucks tumbler. Look at this purple/lilac color... oh so pretty, elegant, sophisticated! It has no words! Only that tiny button logo! And then my Sis sends a photo of the NEW designs with.... HEDGEHOGS! Aren't they cute!????
The week is going by not bad. I went for my first ever Nucleic Acid Test (test for Covid) yesterday and gawds it hurts the location that does the throat swab is too far away for me to go without a car, so I had to brave the nasal swab. Reminds me of the time I went for a nasal endoscopy. Never again, if I can help it. I needed to do the NAT because it's one of the requirements for the race on Sunday. I still haven't decided if I'm going or not, but since the first NAT is free for local citizens, and it's been a year and I haven't yet made that test, I decided to give it a go. And I'm negative. Now, I just need to go pick up the number bib and the timer tag or whatever on Saturday, then Sunday... I'll decide if I'm going or not.
Today's lunch. I love the side salad here. The bacon is also pretty convenient to finger-pick while reading. The sandwich (roll) itself has to be eaten with utensils, coz anyone's mouth won't be able to bite into that sized thing. Oh and that... pouch thing was a souvenir gift from my friend. She must have gotten it from some UK Royal sites. It's the Queen's Corgi!
