I went to my friend's pastry shop yesterday to place an order and deposit for a Mother's Day Cake. We are long-time friends (since kindergarten) and her shop is just down a street across my apartment block. Her sister is the baker/chef/artisan and my friend does the marketing/advertising and numbers; I'm somewhat her volunteer-sometimes spellchecker and sounding board for her promos and ads. And as they are closed on Wednesdays, if there are any leftover cakes on Tuesday evening, she would let me have them.
These are this season's cake selection, summer is soon coming and I look forward to her new cakes for the next season.
