Questions from F.riday5.com.

1. It’s been said (notably by Divinyls in 1985) there’s a fine line between pleasure and pain. How has this proven true in your life?
Well, it's not in the sense that it's pleasure and then it's pain (more like it's pain and it's pain)... but like, when I go do facials? I think that plucking my brows really hurts... and I hate it when the lady starts to pluck my brows. But then when she's digging into my skin and pores to remove dirt and gunk and even popping pimples, those hurt too, and hurt a lot more than plucking brows, especially when the pimple isn't "ripe" yet, but well.... I like that the lady does that. I dunno. I enjoy that kind of pain. It's not really pleasure. It's still pain, but for some reason I can accept that pain.

2. Where in your life have you witnessed the fine line between genius and insanity?
It seems like I'm always put on the spot when answering these questions... I'm sure I've experienced a lot such things, but I just can't think of an example off the top of my head right now. Hm... alright. Again, not quite "genius" and "insanity" but I guess still fits the theme. People are required to quarantine now when they return from travels. Stuck in a hotel room for 14 days. Those that travel alone, you would think that they want one big king bed. But I've heard from a colleague that no, many people nowadays prefer twin beds, that means, 2 single beds. Why? Because during this 2-week hotel stay, there is no proper housekeeping (no one to make the beds, change the linens ,etc). If you want to change the linen, you call to request a fresh set of linens, then you have to change it yourself. SO, people now like these twin beds set up, because, they can sleep in one bed for a week, then the other bed with clean sheets the next week. Pure genius!

3. Where do you draw the fine line between supporting someone and enabling someone?
I think it depends on the situation. I've never purposefully or consciously enabled anyone, but I would think general common sense rules? I'm all for people "going out there to experience new things", but, let's say, if it's just not financially feasible, then I'm not going to egg them on. As long as it does not inhibit your natural livelihood, then by all means, go on that crazy bungee jump, buy that expensive car, or go start that crazy hobby. As long as it does not affect your current self-sufficiency (you still have to pay rent and eat), okay?

4. Which sides of the fine lines between caution and cowardice, and between courage and foolhardiness do you tend toward?
I would say I lean more towards cowardice ("repackaged" to say it's caution) and I'm probably more foolhardy than courageous. I don't really think things through and I'm actually a bit of a hot head when properly annoyed or when certain buttons are pressed.

5. Tasked with drawing a literal fine line, what is your writing utensil of choice?
Lately it would be my fountain pens! I have a good one from Pilot Kakuno with an EF and it's so fine and writes so smoothly! But then I actually like how my Sailor MF glides. I just found out Taobao sells some cheap-o China brands but oh so pretty pens too, and I've bought a few to try out, and I have to say, hey not bad! But although they say they are EF nib, the true EF (extra fine) nib is still the Pilot Kakuno.
