Tada~~~~~!
Sunday, 4 September 2022 14:15I'm alive!
Got my fourth shot on Friday evening, 4pm-ish. Now thinking back to my third shot, any reactions I had was punctually 24 hours after the shot. This time though, it was pretty much immediate. The injection site itched like mad, and for some reason my wrist hurt like hell. But then it was around noon of the following day, less than 24 hours, that I started to feel the fever creeping in.
I don't know. Sometimes, I think I don't get sick enough. I mean. I AM sick, I have a fever running, but my brain is like, sharp and active. Whereas so many other people get a papercut and it's like the end of the world.... I researched why my joints were in so much pain, specifically my left wrist. And I've come to this conclusion: when you have a fever, you have more white blood cells to attack the inflammation. My joints are mostly inflammed anyway, so the ankel pain, knee pain, all that was pretty much expected, but the left wrist... I did say the other week I think I hurt it during yoga? And I hadn't yet gone back to the chiropracter to fix it? That's why it was so much in pain, it was unbelievable.
And I also think I know why the reaction came a little sooner than the 24 hours like the previoius time. I've started taking a supplement (forgot the name right now) that helps boost metabolism, so maybe that's why?
Being stuck in bed wasn't fun, I can tell you. IG is not what IG used to be, it's like IG is rying to be Tiktok, Facebook too, with all the reels... and Youtube too, what with Youtube shorts. Yes, instead of sleeping it off, i went lurking at all these platforms. And well, I also got to play the sick card and so I'm home, not going to the Obligatory Family Sunday Lunch *rolls eyes* I'm not playing hookie, the headache is still hanging around. It was bad enough this morning that I actually took a paracematol for that, but the headache just isn't budging. So I bailed and said I'd stay home.
This is another wasted weekend as I haven't done anything worthwhile, but it's ok. I don't have any plan Bs, just hopefully I'll be able to do something the next weekend again.

Date: 2022-09-04 12:17 (UTC)This observation of yours wouldn't have registered with me save for the fact that yesterday, I read this article about new social media apps taking off due to revolts against IG and TikTok, etc: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2022/aug/21/its-a-modern-day-facebook-how-bereal-became-gen-zs-favourite-app
I tried FB for like, six months five+ years ago -- it just made me hate everyone, so I deleted my account. I have an IG account, but only because it was the only way to find out when my hair stylist was opening her new shop after she left an established salon to go solo -- that was back in 2019. I never use it for anything else, have never posted anything to it, don't get the point of it, and don't need to track her that way anymore. Twitter's the only social media I use (I don't consider DW/LJ-type sites to be social media).
