The other day in China, I bought a huge pumpkin... actually, half of it only. My mom used the pumpkin to make 2 dishes, and there was still a huge chunk of it left. So I searched for bread recipes involving pumpkins, and got one. I had to make some adjustments to make the load workable on my bread machine, and it seems to be going on quite well - by the looks of it. There's still a lot of pumpkin left, so if this fails, I can try again. LESS sugar next time!
My friend asked if I wanted to go see this TABOO show. Actually, I'm still not quite sure if this will be a striptease show, a cabaret, a dinner or a what. The only thing I know is my friend absolutely loves this Dita Von Teese lady, whoever she is. It costs an outrageous amount of money but I figured out this will probably be the first and the last... I dunno, local cabaret show I'll ever go to, so I thought what the heck... Now we're just waiting for her contacts to say whether tickets are available or not.
So I hopped off to China after work yesterday. Apparently the passport lane in the China side of immigration isn't so bad during weekday evenings. Maybe I really could consider making more weekday evening trips instead of weekend afternoons. ANYWAY, I hopped over to China to pick up my framed painting from Prague :D But the downside now is, I don't know where to hang. Then my Mom said "You need to buy a series of paintings by the same artist or in the same style to make it all look nice." Oh, thanks Mom, and you tell me that AFTER I went through the hassle of framing it. You could have told me earlier so I wouldn't have framed it. But framing it was dirt cheap. I framed that, with glass for MOP$30 only... if I had done that in Macau, I'd probably be paying some MOP$200 for that.
I also received my first ever bouquet of flowers. No, it's still not a boyfriend nor an admirer. The boss' son is leaving Macau (most probably for good) so he got me and my colleague each a bouquet of flowers to thank us for the past help we've always extended to him. I'm touched, not for the flowers (I felt nothing receiving the flowers, guess I'm just not a flower person), but that he actually went to get the flowers by himself. Usually it'll be simply a phonecall to us to get it done, haha.
And a photo my Mom would kill me if she knew I posted out for the world to see. Me, make-up-less, doing some sort of facial thing haha. I just found the dog quite cute :D
