Sunday, 26 June 2016 10:111) When you travel to a new city, what kind of points of interest do you research to check out?
First off will be of what I already know of and am interested in. Next I go to the city's website and see what they've got. I'm actually rather gullible so I do believe most things that are written.
2) What's the last attraction/museum/landmark you visited?
Does my workplace count? It's considered a landmark of Macau!
That being said, I do have plans to visit the Science Museum this afternoon.
3) Ever been to a cool off-the-beaten-path landmark you'd like to talk about?
I'm not sure if it's considered off-the-beaten-path, but 2 years ago in Salzburg, we met a musician guy twice who eventually took us strolling all through old part Salzburg. We missed dinner because of all that walking. Then he took us to the music university (I think) and there was either a concert or a competition (or something) going on where outside people usually wouldn't know of, he took us through the back doors and we got to visit the staff areas and all that.
I guess for really off the beaten path place, the last place I visited was Highgate cemetery with the Karl Marx memorial statue thing.
4) If someone were to visit the city where you live, what's the coolest thing to go see?
Depends on what the person likes. If it's architecture then the casinos around here have really weird and spiffy architectures. If it's cultural and history then there are the museums and the ruins of St Paul of course. The cool part with me being the escort is that I'll take you through unknown to most people pathways so we see the behind the scenes and skip the hoardes of people and whatnot.
5) Is there any place you've visited that you'd love to go back to?
Almost all places I've visited, I'd like to go again. I hadn't explored enough of Innsbruck, London is like a black hole of things to do and visit, limitless things to do and see. There's a lot places in Czech I missed as well...
