Meh, so just right after the so-called "celebration" of being COVID-19 free, the Macau government has brought back some Macau citizens from Wuhan, China.

We had known there were such plans, what we didn't know was how it was somewhat poorly organized.

There are some (I don't know how many) of them that although have a Macau Resident card, their real home is in Wuhan, so even if they come here, they don't have a place to stay. Probably they just wanted to get away from Wuhan maybe, and cash out on all the perks the government is giving out.

A 16 year old kid was refused from boarding the plane because he had a low-grade fever of 37.5C (Policy is 37.3C)

Anyway, this group of people (some 50-something) will be sent to the quarantine center for 14 days. Those that really are from Macau can go home after that. I have no idea what they plan to do with those that don't have a place to stay in Macau.

Maybe it'll be like that other Wuhan woman that was hospitalized (one of the 11 confirmed cases in Macau), got recovered, and simply said "I have no money", and didn't pay for the hospital stay and the services rendered. And these people plan to book into hotels and then ask the government for funding.

There is a saying in Chinese 送羊入虎口 (sending sheep into the wolf's mouth)... as a kid, my friend and I played around with this phrase and changed it to 送虎入羊竇 (sending a wolf into the sheep pen)... it all flows in Cantonese (dunno how it will sound in Mandarin, I suck at Mandarin...) and I think this second phrase suits our situation quite well. They are bringing in the wolves.

1 How do you feel about cooking?
I enjoy cooking, whenever i have the chance to do so. I just don't like the washing... so usually I cook very carefully. If I am cooking 1 dish only, I try to only soil a maximum 2 dishes and the pan/container used for cooking.

2 How often do you cook a meal (from mostly fresh ingredients, not something ready-assembled that you just heat)?
Very rare! I only get to "properly cook" when my parents are on holiday in the Summer, and I usually only have time to cook on Saturday mornings.

3 How many people do you usually cook for, when you cook?
Just myself. I'd be happy to set a rotation with my Sis, but her job is usually unpredictable, and sometimes I can go till 9pm and still not have dinner because of waiting for her to get home. So even when parents are away, we each deal with our own dinners.

4 Do you have a favourite recipe book or chef?
I don't have a favorite recipe book nor chef. I watch some videos here and there (Tastemade) but otherwise, I don't follow a particular chef. I know of Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver (and there's a woman that now I do not recall her name).

5 Kitchen tools: use the fewest possible or gadgets are your friend?
Use the fewest possible. Only because I hate washing them afterwards! My favorite thing to cook is a fish fillet and assorted veggies baked in a tin foil.... so I can simply eat from the tinfoil and then throw everything out with minimal washing. There's a level of dedication with trying to avoid washing, LOL
