[livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive didn't update yet, so it's questions from F.riday5.com today.

1. What kiddie song do you still like as a grownup?
Still the easiest karaoke song if I have to karaoke at all LOL

2. When did a new* song most recently* get you excited? * defined however you like
This was a couple weeks months ago. This Cloquesta thing (Clock over Orquestra) is a... I don't know, a game? an anime? or something, and the theme song is by Okui Masami 奥井雅美 and I was a bit excited over it, as the song wasn't included in her newest album 11-elevens-. I saw the album being available on some proxy buying service, but I didn't want to buy an entire album for just one song.

Later this anime/game/whatever album became available in... iTunes of all things, and I happily got this one song (without the physical album). But now as I listen to the preview of all the character image songs, it seems like the album would be a good buy too. So I may just download the entire album.

3. What song were you introduced to via television ad or as background in a movie or TV show?
I can't find the actual ad, but... it's this one from POCARI SWEAT

4. Which song’s opening lyric do you especially love?
Opening lyrics? Let me think........ can't. Don't have any specifics. But if it's the whole song in general, My Jolly Days, also by Okui Masami 奥井雅美 has a pretty... carefree and lazy feel to it and while it's not my favorite song, I really like the ending when she goes "I feel like falling to the sky" (Okay, it's Jpop, the English doesn't have to make sense LOL), time stamp at around 5:00.

5. With which five songs would you begin a weekend-themed playlist? Alternate question: With which five songs would you begin a playlist themed for this weekend?
hm... I do have a playlist for running and a playlist for relaxing, but then I also put them constantly on shuffle, so I don't know about putting 5 songs for the weekend....? I guess... whatever album I put on play? Recently I have Kalafina on my shortcut, so whenever I press play on my phone it's them.

Hosting dinner

My family, or in my home, it's very rare that we host dinners. Yes, we host the yearly Christmas thing for the family, but friends and family coming over? Not really.

Well, for some weird reason, we are hosting dinner tonight for 2 of my friends. We went to a Portuguese restaurant a few weeks ago and ordered Portugese Baked Duck Rice, and it was awful. So my friends, jokingly, asked if my Dad would cook his Duck rice for them.

Spoke to my Dad and voila, we are hosting dinner.

I thought it would be a casual affair, no frills. But heck, my Mom is going on overdrive. No wonder we rarely host dinners.

Cleaning. The apartment has to be spotlessly clean. And then the plates and chinaware, we need a full set of 6. OMG, the nice one we only have 4! Look in the cupboards to find a complete set of 6!

Dad is going to pair the Portuguese Duck Rice with an Austrian Pancake Beef-stock Soup (Frittatensuppe). And oh no, none of the bowls we have, have 6 pieces.

Then dessert. Mom is worrying about dessert. I said I can just ask one of the girls to bring one of her cakes (the one with a cake shop just down the street by us) and Mom flipped, saying I invited them for dinner, why am I asking them to bring dessert. *rolls eyes* fine. I really was hoping for this to be a casual thing.

Dessert will be... McDonald's soft ice cream with Styrian (Austria) Pumpkin Seed Oil and a piece of brownie crunchie (which I will go pick up later today). But then Mom is screaming again as we do not have enough ice cream bowls of the same set.

Dad, laughing, says we have enough crystal dessert bowls though, and Mom flips again saying THOSE ARE CRYSTAL!

I don't know. I kind of am regretting it LOL.

Enticing preparation photo..... yum yum!
