1. What's your favorite crafty activity?
I don't really like making crafty things... most of the time.

2. What got you into it?
In primary school, we had dedicated "Arts and Craft" classes. I hated those. I just know I don't have the patience to sit through and do all those stuff.

3. What was your favorite arts & crafts project as a kid?
naaaaaaahhhhhhhh

4. What has someone made for you?
Well, a long long long long time ago, my bestie C had used those school-provided white clay things and made a Grourry clay model for me. I had kept it close to 20 years, but that clay eventually dried out pretty badly and the whole figurine was crumbling. I told her about it, and she laughed and said I should just throw it out. Later on, she picked up pottery throwing, and she made this Totoro incense burner for me! There's a hole behind where the tail comes out and there's the tray for the tealight candle, and the leave above is to put the essential oil or incense cones.

5. Are there any unfinished projects in your life you need to pick back up?
I'm proud to say I don't have any unfinished projects, because I finished it a couple years ago! I started to knit this Slytherin scarf when I was all into Harry Potter. That must have been in my Uni years, probably first and second year. I started this knitting project, then got bored of it very soon. So every winter, I would look at it and think "oh yeah, this thing..." and I'll knit a few rows to it.

And then it was I think 2018 or 2019 Winter that I decided to just finish the thing. There wasn't enough yarn to do it the full length I had planned, and because I bought the yarn more than 10 years ago, and I lost the yarn tag, I wasn't sure if I could buy the same yarn/color. So... I just used the remaining to make some tassles, and sucky, it was enough!

1. How do you cool down on warm summer evenings?
By evening, I usually already have the air con on. Also, since the apartment has north facing windows and south facing windows, sometimes if we open both, they sometims "drag" the wind and then we get a bit of breeze indoors. But since by summer it's usually hot, humid, stuffy air, we don't do that much.

2. What are some good songs for keeping the summer vibe flowing?
I dunno. The only "seasonal" vibe song and music I know of are for Christmas LOL

3. What’s a good summer movie or a good summer book?
Again, the only "seasonal" movie I know of.... LOL LOL LOL

4. How is this summer better than last summer?
So far it's not any better than last year. We've started with the sudden covid-related pandemic hit, we are in lockdown, and the cherry on top is... it's Typhoon #8 right now.

5. What special something are you doing this summer?
I have no plans yet, and I don't know. Still in the planning!

Typhoon #8 "Chaba"

It's Saturday. Still in lockdown. With Typhoon "Chaba" visiting us. It's strong enough to be a #8 signal. So I'm just holed up in my room.

I wonder if a Flickr video embed works the same? Anyway. Here's a trial video; if it's not a video, then I know Flickr doesn't do that, haha!

Ah, and the local gov't wants all residents to do these Rapid Antigen Tests (home tests), and yes, the government has provided these test kits too. I've been lucky and got this red boxed one, but there are complaints out there that some residents got some other brands that had: missing swab, missing "carrier liquid", missing test strip, false positive test results, and all that... so now the government wants us to take a photo of the test result with the box packaging. I usually include my watch to help state the time. The photo has to be uploaded onto the health code platform.

As it's typhoon #8, even the test centres are closed, the city is simply just... stagnant. However, Dad walked out for a bit just now and announced a very important news: The Chinese bakery is open. Good! Then I can get some toast bread, LOL!
