elusivekoh yeah, happy Chinese New Year... that was 2 days ago...
I've been sick since then.
The Chinese New Year gives us 3 days statutory holidays. Given the third day is a Saturday, we lose 1 day (regular day off), but still, that would have made it a nice 4-day weekend.
I got sick. SICK!
Yesterday I got rushed to the hospital emergency. I had a fever of around 39.5C. So, the nurse just took my temperature, took my blood pressure, and I had to wait an hour until it was my turn to see the doctor. At the doctor?
He just asked me to open my mouth and looked to see if my throat was red, then he said:
"Oh! You have fever, and an infection. OK. I'll write you a paper to have Monday off as well and, and you should take these pills regularly"
Being in my muddy-muddy self, I just nodded and went.
After a fitful night's sleep, today, I was thinking about it and noticed one thing. Shouldn't he use a stethoscope to listen to my breathing? Front and back? Shouldn't he give me a shot?
I hate doctors here. Public hospital or private hospital, I hate doctors here.
I can feel a severe pain in my lungs now. My mom says it's normal because i've been coughing like hell. I dunno. I just wish everything will just pass ASAP.
And giving me Monday off is no use. My colleague is on holiday, I can't not go to work on Monday. bleh.
Like I wrote on facebook, when I was younger, being sick = having more time to read, play and draw. Now all I can do is just lie down and feel sorry for myself. Man, what a wasted holiday. And I wanted to go to China today to get my nails done. They're getting way too long, and because I did gel nails last time, I couldn't just trim them myself. Hope I get well by next week then I could get it done.
