No, I had no plans to make myself scarce these few days. But... well, let's say the scooter practice is draining me of my energy and time.

In a week, I completed almost 20 hours of practice. I did a full day of practice on Saturday.
I have a problem with the gear changing. In a manual car, you can at least see the position of the gear to see what gear you're in. In the motorcycle (I'm learning the 150c.c. Hartford) it's by... memorization....

I find out once I'm scared shitless by a passing car I lose count of my gear work. Joy.

A way to improvise, is whenever I reach the zebra or any other might-need-to-stop places, I'll switch the gear to one, whether I need to stop or not. Coz if I'm on 1, and I try to down the gear, I couldn't go down anymore, so I know for a fact that it's in 1. Then my counting begins again.

Interestingly I'm not so worried with the number-8-circle thingy on a slope. I'm pretty confident in that. Just a couple more warm up practice tomorrow morning, and then I think I'm good for the exam tomorrow afternoon.

So tomorrow morning is my last chance to perfect my road practice. AARRRGGGHHH!

My instructor says I'm not dumb, I'm just too scared of going fast. He said I should go faster on the road. Hey, in a car, an 80km/h is cool, but on a scooter, I get scared shitless on 30km/h already. 40km/h is my maximum! But he says on the 150c.c. the maximum is 60km/h!!!!!!! OH NOESSSSSSSS!!! Don't they see? In a car, you're safe and sound from the elements, wind, cold and dust don't bother you, and in case there is an accident, you're in a car, in less-serious crashes, it's only the car that gets hurt. But on a bike? ANY ACCIDENT AND YOU, THE HUMAN ARE HURT!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I'll try to go wild tomorrow. Wish me luck! 2:30pm tomorrow is my exam!

Good luck on the exam! I'd have the same problem learning to do that- I get scared going to fast downhill on a regular bicycle!
