On a couple of things...

First off, I guess it's a great big Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there. That goes for all nannies and other "Mother Role" holders as well!

I did the standard thing and got Mom a bouquet of flowers:

As I was holding this bouquet of flowers, it actually reminded my how I hate flowers. I know some people love receiving flowers for whatever occasions, but personally I don't like flowers. Well, yes, they are pretty, they are nice and all that, but this is really my own problem rather than the flowers' problem. I hate receiving flowers because....just the smell of flowers... reminds me of either the mortuary house or the cemetery. Nice, huh? I associate flowers with death.

Oh and I picked up my Macau Cultural Center (CCM - Centro Cultural de Macau) member's card... it's actually quite nifty, if you ask me. Valid for 1 year, now for whatever concert tickets (that are held by the CCM) I can get quite big discounts! Yippie! Immediately, I got some tickets for 3 separate shows, and then I'm going to be collecting money from friends for these tickets.

Just two nights ago, I took two friends out to the Islands and went to an Italian restaurant, La Gondola,  which sits just by the pool (the pool = under a total different ownership). We felt the air con a bit chilly so we decided to sit outside, but it was also too cold for her as well... We then decided to go to the Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel... it was quite late, after 11pm already, and yet, we went to a lounge, not for a cocktail... we went to try different kinds of teas. After this testing, we call all agree that Earl Grey is the best of teas available out there.  Also for the record, I love the Hard Rock Menu for non-alcoholic drinks - "Rocktails Unplugged". Isn't it lovely?

And last but not least... this morning I went for my motorbike re-test... this time I passed. I was so shakey in the first part (going around in a number "8" circles on a slope"). I passed it and then we had to drive out. The guy in front of me let his engine die 3 times (and countless times the examiner asked him to switch off his signal lights) and so he failed. Then, the main examiner, to summarize, said we all did something wrong, but since it wasn't anything to big, he let us pass. And now, I have a temp 150cc Motorbike license card now. Yay. For 1 year I can't have any passengers.

And now it's about time I started looking for Vespa Scooters!!

I'm also feeling really drained and sick... my brain is also quite dead. I wrote quite a few things here and i was either just dreaming or I did leave my car there... I dunno... I was typing something and then when I re-read it was totally something else (spelling and grammar all correct!). Anyway... I'll go get some shut-eye...

I hate flowers too. I'm hypersensitive to smells in general and the smell of flowers makes me want to gag.

I think it's funny that everything's on your menus in Chinese and in Portugese - it's a combination that's quite strange to a German. XD

Let me add to the strangeness: The official languages in Macau are Chinese and Portuguese, and while, let's say 90% of the population does know Chinese, less than 5% of the population knows Portuguese, and for business and commercial purposes, English is the main language used. We confuse ourselves too!
