New Furusato

elusivekToday I went to have lunch with my colleagues at New Furusato, a Japanese restaurant at the Hotel Lisboa (now commonly called the "Old Lisboa" in Chinese as there is the new Grand Lisboa as well). It's called the "New" Furusato because it was closed for a good few years (over 10 years I think) and now newly opened. (You can see in the header image I incorporated the old Lisboa into it. I'm working on the Grand Lisboa right now!)
I asked for one of the cheaper menus (I'm not on such a glamorous payroll, and besides I've spent quite a lot this month!). My set was the Seared Sliced Sashimi set. I guess I would be happier with the all raw Diced Sashimi set, but as my cough has not cleared up yet, I decided not to risk it with an icy cold menu.
The set didn't seem to have a lot on it, but it was delicious and I was actually stuffed by the end. I loved every small dish of it. I had to skip the ice cream (included in the set) because of my cough, and the manager was very nice and switched a pudding for me. Then he gave us each one a piece of egg cake, on the house. It doesn't cost much, but it's these small things that make a customer happy!
May has been a brutal month for my wallet... Let's see, Hong Kong, shopping, shopping, show tickets, dinner at a private kitchen (more on that another day, maybe later), and now this. Time to bring up my Finance Tracking App! (Did I mention I think I need a new phone as my iPhone is acting very glitchy lately as well?) Ah... budgets!
