Dog Days of Summer...

... or something like that?
I'm in the midst of looking for a reliable vet, but I don't know. Max's vet was quite good, but lately he seems a bit depressed and now his clinic feels very commercialised. People who breed dogs on their own would make appointments with potential dog buyers and meet them in this Vet's clinic, then he would do the body checks and... and well, I don't know, coz I never made such a transaction.
The problem this time is our girl, Menina the mixed Dachshund. We've been noticing this for the past 2 years already, and last night an attack came again, so we're sure something must be wrong. Menina is a very active dog during the Winter. She would run, frolic and have fun in the grass, as long as it's Winter. Come Summer, it's like she got turned into a depressed dog. She will be really reluctant to walk and I think she suffers about it - I remember trying to make her walk faster on the leash and she would go coughing and wheezing like having an asthma attack. I don't know.
But with that girl being a drama queen, I really don't know if it's really that serious. Just like this morning, I accidentally hooked Max's *soft* *fabric* leash on her leg and when I stood up, the leash stretched and glided over her leg. The bloody dog yelped and cried and whatnot as if it were the world's end. When I looked at her, she was looking at me with those "I'm betrayed~~~!" eyes and she started to limp away. LIMP AWAY! The leash just glided over her, damnit! What a Drama Queen!
So yeah. I'm stumped.
Oh and the photo, that was when I was sitting on the throne and they just barged in and lied down like that. heh.

Date: 2011-06-09 08:42 (UTC)I could try the one with the fewest misses in my experience and try to bring the immune deficiency thing up, but haha, I'm pretty sure her scream regarding her leg was just her being a Drama Queen.
