Alrighty, bit of a translation for those interested. I'm reading the Chinese version of the Slayers 2nd novel: The Sorcerer of Atlas City (Original title in Japanese: アトラスの魔道士, original cover on the right). It came to a part where Lina was explaining what's with the Sorcerers and their colors (Rezo the Red, and so on and so forth). And then this is what she said:Actually back in my hometown, I was also in a Sorcerers' Guild, and so I also got a Color title. Whenever we attended any Guild functions we were to go wearing the colored cloak and gown.
That's why I never showed up in these Guild functions.
Who could ever wear such clothing!
PINK!
When I brought home the clothing, it was impossible for my sister not to ridicule me.
"'Lina the Pink'! It sounds like special business!" (in Japanese "pink" is sort of a color code or special code for "erotic" or "adult only" things)
How annoying! This is totally the fault of the guy that chose the color!
"You are a girl, so let's use a cute color: Pink..."
No Black Mage/Sorcerer in the world would wear PINK!
