Chinese New Year coming right up!

elusivekSo, Chinese New Year is coming right up. My party has started. What party? My 9-day holiday!
For Chinese New Year (CNY), we get 3 days public holiday. This year, the first day of CNY falls on a Monday. So it means if you take 2 days off (Thursday and Friday), then you get a spiffy 9-day holiday. And I got it, yo!!
It's almost the end of the first day though... But I got quite a lot done already. My room is sparkling clean (we can't do any cleaning during the CNY, so better do that beforehand), took the dogs to the vet already too.
Talking about dogs, look at this:
My dog (after severe photoshopping) got his photo on canned dog food packaging. Of course I'm kidding. My dog is a mutt and that on the can is... I dunno, border collie or sheepdog or something pedigree.
All around the city we're getting ready for the CNY. As you can guess, the CNY is something big here, this is part of China. They've done an ok job this year using these lanterns. Pretty :-)
I needed a reading light but the power outlet at my bedside table doesn't have so many plugs. So I tried this out.
Not so good when clipped over the kindle... I was tempted to buy one from amazon, until I decided what I needed was a change of angles!
Clipping it on the shelvings of my bed-shelf solved the problem!
My boys are so happy with all these treats!
My mom would kill me if she knew I posted this photo out to the world to see. Well, I say, feel free to look at it! I laugh whenever I see this photo!
Anyway, time to take the dogs out! See ya!

No buying new shoes during CNY as well, as the word "shoes" sound like "sigh"... sighing during the CNY, a prosperous time, is not good!... there are more sillies, and we usually only follow the superstitions to our own advantage, like the no cleaning thing, and buying shoes during CNY because of BIG SALES!
