Been a while!
Monday, 21 January 2013 22:09I'm ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not dead!
I hit a pretty rough patch the last 2 weeks or so.
The boss was going crazy. I think his jetlag is catching up on him. He actually yelled at us about something that was his fault, and didn't allow us to talk back, saying we can pack our bags if we want to. I was THIS near to packing my bag, but my colleague stopped me.
My birthday wasn't too exciting. Turning 30 wasn't such a big deal really. Or maybe I'm just generally not feeling happy anyway.
The local animal shelter also had an opening for a shelter supervisor. I really wanted to apply, despite the pay being half what I earn now. Either the field is really what I'm interested in, or I was desperate enough to consider jumping ship.
Played some ball to let some steam off. I feel like swimming though, so I might go swimming next Sunday. Also feel like bowling...
There is so much I should be writing about - such as the Italian dessert class I have on Wednesdays... I never thought a Tiramisu could be so easy to make... And I am forever haunted by the knowledge of the amount of sugar in a Panna Cotta that I will never order one in future.
Scored 97% in my most recent Japanese test. What I can't believe is he knocked 3 points off my oral. And I did not miss anything on my oral. I did not hesitate, I did not need prolonged silence to think of answers... so I don't get where the 3 points got knocked off from. But anyway...
Am considering starting my nightly walks again, but I just get home too late after my classes...
Am also reading The Hobbit, and I want to kill myself for picking up the book... I forgot, as much as I loved the story of the Lord of the Rings, hated olkien's writing... (but I have to emphasize that I read the BOOK first and then watched the MOVIE for that)... Tolkien... adds too much singing that it's annoying. He also spends too much time on the scenery... so yeah... Once again I'm torturing myself. But I will survive!
No plans on what to read next though.
I would like to take part in the World Vision's 30 hours of famine in Hong Kong in April... My friend is investigating the matter and so I shall wait for her updates... let's see if I will go and fast for 30 hours... it sounds like fun!
And the newest craze over here in this part of the world is the game Candy Crush.
