I like to think (and I hope!) that I am a pretty easy-going person. I'm usually not petty on LJ. I make it very clear that I generally add anyone that adds me - as long as they leave me a message, so that I know they are human. Unfriending as well, I don't take anything seriously, but I hardly initiate an "unfriending".
What brought this around is, this is the third or fourth time that I have been "unfriended" by someone who:
1) Hardly every posts anything or updates their LJ
2) Whenever they do update it's a nagging post or complaining post about how nobody ever comments on their posts
3) Go all "this is my journal and I can friend or unfriend anyone that I like"
4) When they post in those "Add Me" groups they say "Don't just add me today and delete me tomorrow just because 'we didn't click' but that was really because you did not take the time to get to know me"
I'm usually fine with being unfriended, but well, I just don't get it when people have to announce that as in point #4 above. I agree with point #3 and yes, they have their own freedom to do whatever they like, but #4 just gets on my nerves so badly.
I admit, I don't comment much, but when I read, I do read my friends' post. Maybe I should be more active in commenting? But I don't want LJ to become some sort of Facebook where one-worded comments are the norm.
Work
So, the boss is on the way back to town. I'll be seeing him tomorrow again. Another week of mess, I'm sure!
Books
Still trying very hard to read the Concise History of Portugal. History books are really not my cup of tea. And of course, as I'm mulling over this book, I've fished out a lot other seemingly interesting books...
Music
I hardly ever write/mention about music, but heh. The HIM bug bit me again, because a friend lent me her copy of a newly-bought Tears on Tape album. So I got crazy and started looking for my copy And Love Said No, which I eventually found. So now I'm back to rocking (?) to their tunes.
In my great search for the album though, I came across my stash of Gregorian Chants... I'd already forgotten that I also went through a phase of chorus/church music, haha!
TV
I don't watch much TV, but last night I just happened to flick through and watch part of Hotel Hell. I'm not a Gordon Ramsay fan, really, I actually hated his Hell's Kitchen (I really disliked his... tendency to be over-judgemental), but I found his judgementality (is that even a word?) went quite well with the format used in Hotel Hell. I'm going to set the timer in the TV's recording function... I am going to follow this series!
Life
Mother's day... what to do... what to do... oh, I just noticed... I won't be around on Father's day... I'll be in Austria... sorry Pa! I'll call you on that day!
