Some semblance of a good life

Life has been rather hectic the past few weeks, but oh, yesterday, Saturday, was some semblance that my life is still good.
The Twelve Nights movie-documentary I mentioned (it's just the previous post) is part of the Macau International Film Festival. So... of course I would go for more.
It's only a pity I missed the one from Japan, R-100, I have a gut feeling that it is a tremendously funny one. Something about a guy joining a club without knowing that it's some kind of kinky S&M club... or something... of course I have a trailer to share (no subtitles though). I think R-100 has the reference to the R-18 rating system... so I guess I have to live until 100 to watch this movie? heh...
Where I missed one movie, I yesterday went to watch two. Wow.
Aurelie Laflamme (France) - felt like watching some kiddo movie and yes, this was entertaining. Not planning to read the books though, even if they get translated to English.
Witching and Bitching (Spain) - I'm not sure about this one... it started off OK but by the middle of it it started to get way too crazy... are Spanish films all so crazy? Characters tend to get off-tangent in their rants and talk about really nonsense and useless things and... I just don't get it... Well, I got the storyline and all, I don't get the reasoning (character-wise) of their decisions... it was a good laugh though...
That has caused me to wonder if all Spanish films are crazy. I remember I watched an in-flight movie and there was a Spanish Snow White film, Blancanieves, a mute movie, and yes, it was running on the crazy borderline too.
I so need to read a book. But there are just so many distractions. I'm currently working my way into Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. So far so good, perhaps due to everything being of a very new culture to me. Wonder how long it will last though (ha!)
Oh and yeah, I got the results from my body check last time. I'm so awefully (NOT awfully, yes, it was intentional. Awe-fully!) well that the doctor suggests my next health check be in 5 years. So there you go. I'm a really healthy person. /sarcasm
So. Today. Nothing much going on... we have a family lunch, then I'll be hanging out with some friends. And then tomorrow is Monday... work day again... gawds...
