Late Friday Five
Sunday, 24 May 2015 12:08I keep remembering about the Friday Five NOT on a Friday.
So, this is this week's
thefridayfive
1. When was the last time you wrote a check at a store?
Cheques are not common in this part of the world. I did have to write a cheque (or what they call a cashier's order here) at the bank to pay one Hong Kong credit card that I have, and that was last month. As for why I have a Hong Kong credit card... long story. Let me just summarize it as: Asia Miles and Paypal.
2. When was the last time you looked up something in a book?
Just last week. I was writing my presentation for my Portuguese class, and I had to look up the Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat book because I wanted to write about the Cobb500 chicken.
3. When was the last time you used a rotary/dial phone?
Trick question. XD that would expose my age! But seeing as I'm saying that, that means I know what a rotary phone is, so I'm pretty much busted. My grandma had a rotary phone. Dial phone at home.
4. When was the last time you played cards with actual paper cards?
Not that long ago - though I can't say when exactly. I have one particular group of friends who, when we travel together, always bring a pack of Uno, and that's what we play.
Then again, this question doesn't really say much for someone living in the Casino City of the East....
5. When was the last time you talked to a stranger?
Just about every day? When I'm at shops or at work? When I do volunteer work for the animal rescue group I'm in? Though I loathe that (talking to strangers - face to face or on phone), it's something that has to be done... Funny thing though I don't mind writing emails to people or sending them messages.
