Hong Kong, Hong Kong

In a totally pointless (as in, no actual target, and I'm not complaining. Honest!) trip, my friend and I had quite a lot of fun.
However, I had to rush back to work in the morning as the boss wanted his laundry. I made it all in record time, and I was pleasantly surprised by the taxi driver humming to Rivers of Babylon that was on the radio.
My friend got me coffee for the ferry ride! Thank you!

The ferry ride was okay. It was pouring in Hong Kong when we got there. Friend led the way as I'm not too familiar with the mid-levels in Hong Kong. We made our way to our lunch spot, Bibo.

So Bibo serves French cuisine. The food was pretty good, but I was more interested in the interior decors of the place. They got various artists to pitch in and do their thing, so the whole place was very chic and cool.
Next we made our way to Causeway Bay. I went to pick up the tickets for the musical Singing In The Rain, and then my friend brought me to Urban Decay. Okay. Bought a basic eyeshadow palette. Then we roamed around, checked out some shops. We didn't shop much.
Oh yeah, I went to take a peek at the Gundam installations

Hahaha, I caught that guy trying to shoot the Gundam's underskirt. Yeah. We were just being silly.
Finally, my friend went to pick up her bunny stuff, then we went to have another coffee and meet up my friend's other friend - the girl was in Shanghai for a while and she just happened to be in town, so they wanted to meet up. It was nice chatting over coffee.

... or, iced tea and cake for me, mwahaha...
And then we went to HMV. I really like those puppies they have around the place!

I almost splurged on a pet cam thing but then thought the better of it. Friend didn't get anything, and so later we went to hunt for dinner.

We went to a place called Yardbird. It's a Yakitori place, but I suppose fusionized. And I cannot stress enough how effing good it was. Hands down I'm going back there, but it's a bit hard to go there as it's mid levels and you gotta walk up the hill.

After dinner, we roamed around the area and I looked at some stuff in a vintage store. They had a silver spoon with the Austrian emblem on it. Pity they only sold it as a set of some 20 or 30 spoons hung on a wooden board. If the spoons were of a certain set or theme then I just might have gotten it. But it was too random. An Austrian spoon, two of some province or area or another (Germany and France), a winery, some USA place, etc...
It was cute, but nah. Then we went to the next door PMQ (Police -something- Quarters; used to be the police dorms or something and now converted to be a chic and artsy place for new startups or designers gallery, etc) I got a perfume for dad and then we made our way back to the ferry terminal. Managed the 9:15pm ferry and came back home.

It was quite a manageable trip, not tiring at all, really nice. Dinner was to die for.
