Three-day weekend

Today felt like Sunday, because yesterday was a public holiday. I'm suddenly at a loss of what to do with my time...

So we went to have a big family gathering (same bunch of people at Christmas, plus some other extended people from my uncle's side of the family). Every year it's the same. My Mom would host the Christmas dinner party at home, and then my Uncle (my Mom's brother in law) would host the 1-January New Year Lunch somewhere.

I should really try to sleep, but everytime I lay my head down, my nose will clog up and then I can't breathe. Like last night, I should have been resting, but my nose just clogged up, and I forced myself to go walk two laps around the lake. During the walk, my nose miraculously unclogged themselves and I could breathe so easily. Once I reached home, back to can't breathe.

This morning too, at the gym, I was able to breathe while I did my thing... once it was over, again I couldn't breathe. I always tend to get this weak and sick around my period. And well, never have I been more excited about my period. With it gone and done with this week, I don't have to think and worry about it during my trip in 10 days. yay *dances*

I walked a route that I rarely go through today, and here are two photos I thought might interest some of you.

On the left: I think it's a very old building, though I see only the wall. There's also a door number, but there's no more door there (someone cemented it shut). Instead the neighbourhood people have been hanging plants along the wall.
On the right: older buildings are built very near each other, with tight streets that cars can't really go through. Lots of scooters, and due to the lack of government mandated maintenance and such, everything's rusted and grungy.

*thinks about the time back then* my long hair days were before my make-up days, so probably I looked less presentable back then? Or maybe I was younger and so didn't need make up either LOL.

Saturdays are my definitely can go to gym days :-) I'll see if I can squeeze in Wednesdays as well.

I don't feel particularly bad, just annoying... and then the not being able to breathe thing.

My doctor said to take a lot of vitamin C (I kind of got the impression she's trying to say it's ok to overdose on vit C) and then you won't get sick if you are at the "not quite getting sick, maybe going to get sick, someone around me is sick" stage. I don't know... that being said by a doctor made my trust in said doctor drop tremendously....

I used to have long hair, but my hair is naturally thin and it curls when damp, so went for a short look to give it some volume. I'm not growing it out ever, it's just too convenient :-D

I've also heard that you can't overdose on vitamin C, that your body begins to expel it when it gets too much. I've always been skeptical about the idea that it can keep you from getting sick if you're about to get sick, though...lots of people make that claim, though.

Short hair is definitely so convenient xD Although it means you have to go get it cut all the time...unless you're able to cut it yourself, I suppose...

I hope so too! The lake is OK, though nothing too exciting (man-made, no nature surrounding it), I think it's the fresh air that clears up my congested nose. I might go again tonight.

That's been me lately too. Stuffy nose at night. But we've had air stagnation around here for a few days, so I'm chalking it up to that lol.

I'm hoping it's the air too. No wait, no, I hope I'm really sick, then when I shake it off, I'm immune for a few days and can be untouchable during my trip! (What kind of rationalisation is that?)

I think it's just the neighbourhood that's keeping the plants. Perhaps that's an abandoned place, come to think of it, I think there was just the wall, it wasn't a building structure, I don't think there was a roof/overhead
