It's alive!

elusivekI'm sorry for having gone missing in action, but I was dreadfully sick for the last 2 weeks. Apparently I hadn't totally shaken off the cough I had and then suddenly just overnight it escalated to some serious bad lung-hacking cough for a couple of days and then I got my ass up and went to the doctor and she gave me some really strong meds that literally knocked me out within the half hour after taking them.
Saturday through Wednesday I was in this constant knocked out or maybe high as a kite state. My last dose of medicine was on Wednesday, so Thursday sort of was like a day waiting for the rest of the meds to flush out of my system and today, Friday I'm feeling OK again. I still feel this itch in my throat and I have some light sniffles, but I'm way better than I was last week.
And then when I was having breakfast this morning I somehow bit into my tongue and it's bleeding rather profusely. With the pain I'm in right now, I wonder if it would have been more worth it to have a tongue piercing. But I'll never pierce my tongue, haha!
The weekend looks promising in the exciting department, but after this whole sick and medicine fiasco thing I can feel my tummy isn't in the best of state. I might go on either a fasting day or a detox day but I want to build up my strenght first. After that, I seriously need to start exercising as after this winter, I found out I don't fit in any of my work pants anymore! And even my skirts, there's a couple that are tight fits! And I can't zip up one of the dresses I have for work! I seriously need to lose weight now.
