Game: Crusaders' Quest

This game I'm wasting my time with has a little more point and target and story than the Kleptocats I wrote about before.
Crusaders' Quest

The graphics are really cute, retro-y like the old 8- or 16- bit RPG games I used to play on the SNES before, and the gameplay is simple enough.

As most games do, you need some "diamonds" or "jewels" that have to be bought with real money, and then you can use that diamond currency to buy really special things. I'm not paying a dime for anything, but the regular "gold" that you collect during the game can still get you pretty decent stuff.

I have some friends, but many haven't logged in either, so I might have to do a clean up soon. There's also a library of all things you've collected, be it characters, weapons, etc...

So for the game play, is there are many playable units that wield either Swords, Hammers, Arrows, Guns, Magic, or Assist (also magic). But you can only choose 3 for the "quests" you go through. There's also a support "Goddess" that can do something when you summon her.

You run (automatically) from left to right, and your attacks are based on those blocks at the bottom of the screen. Each character has its own attact and/or specialty. There are also set "special attacks" that you can "attach" to characters. As you collect more characters, if you complete a set (as pre-setted) then you get to unlock some side stories (usually stupid and funny stuff).

Characters also work with a star-rating system. Most of my characters are 4-stars now, with a few 5-stars. As the star rating goes up, the little sprite designs also change to be more complicated.

I'm currently stuck at a level so instead of trying to get through that level, I'm collecting characters and working to unlock those stories and also leveling up my characters.
