Friday Five 14-Oct
Saturday, 15 October 2016 14:411. When was the last time that you enjoyed a camp fire?
um... never?
2. What is your favorite fall tradition?
I think it's a culture thing that... I've never been exposed to a "fall tradition". Though I think there is one common thing that is chestnuts. Roasted chestnuts in Autumn = yum!
3. Do you celebrate Samhain?
I know of it, but don't celebrate it.
4. What are your real feelings about candy corn?
"Is it edible?" (the food coloring...)
5. Do you believe in things that go bump in the night?
I don't particularly, yet I do get spooked.

And this one, which I've read one time before is how Halloween came to be (or what influenced the modern Halloween culture)...
"Every year on October 31 (or May 1, if you're in the Southern Hemisphere) the Sabbat we call Samhain presents us with the opportunity to once more celebrate the cycle of death and rebirth. For many Pagan traditions, Samhain is a time to reconnect with our ancestors, and honor those who have died. This is the time when the veil between our world and the spirit realm is thin, so it's the perfect time of year to make contact with the dead. "
