The week, at a glance....

Right... summer is approaching, the days when nobody ever feels like going to work because of the stifling heat on the way to work. But maybe it's just me, since most of my colleagues drive or take the bus.
Okay... so the last Wordless Wednesday was Dad's ultimate Duck Rice (seriously, that's just 2 posts ago), after the sinful Duck Rice, the following day's dinner was just this...

Dinner was just that. Ooops. It was funny at the same time though, so nobody begrudged Dad.
My car was acting up last week so we called the mechanic to get it fixed. Then a couple days ago the car had to go for inspection, and that was done too. Now hopefully I don't get much problems with my car.
Work-wise it was a bit boring the past week, I took the Friday off in hopes of getting some errands done. But then of course things never happen as you plan, and Mom had me off looking for locksmiths that are willing to open our safe (which, everyone forgot the password for, and when we tried to use the back up key, the whole key-lock part fell into the chasm, LOL.
I got it done, and my reward was one of the gold bracelets inside.
And then J asked to have a group dinner so we got R out and we had dinner in a new restaurant. Oyster bar, I think we had over 3 dozens of oyster... total,... that's a lot of oysters... then I ordered a slow cooked ribeye thing to be shared, it was heavenly. Lastly we went out to the pub for... my friends had their tea and I a lime soda LOL.... coz what we were there for was really just the Guinness Brownies.
Then today it was a combined birthday lunch of a cousin and another cousin's kid. Boring. The cousin I disliked actually commented on the number of cakes I had on my plate, the audacity of him, when he is just a dumb lowlife in all aspects of his life. (Story for another time)

After lunch, we went home to start cleaning up Dad's toolshed (or, storage shed). I initially refused to help out as I knew for a fact the trash inside were really Mom's porcelain plates and utensils and whatnot. Turns out I was right all along, everything useless porcelain utensils and silver cutlery (not sure if really silver as they're rusted, goddammit). Bloody idiot of my dad handed me a pot inside a bag , and I held it, but apparently there was water in the bag and it spilled out... he goes "ah, it spilled", and I'm like "WTF is it?" and he casually says "caustic soda", godammit then my hand started to burn and I'm like "I'm out of here and when to rinse my hands, arms and legs.
After that was settled, we worked some more, found more old figurines and general trash (in my point of view), and what do you know, it started raining. Lovely. Not.
Tomorrow I'm going for a swim again but this time we're going to check out the new University pool.
I'm supposed to have more photos to post but Flickr and Photobucket are being asses today :-(
