Friday Five 27-October
Saturday, 28 October 2017 15:51It's a very Halloween-centric Friday Five, sadly although I know about the Halloween culture (the Americanized one), it's not a big holiday here, so... no such festivities.
1. What are you going to dress up for Halloween?
Don't intend to dress up, as there's no such thing as "trick or treat"-ing over here, but I did buy this spiffy T-shirt (posted before) :D
2. What was your favorite Halloween costume you ever had?
No such culture doesn't mean I never attended a costume party. I couldn't find the photos right now, but I know (by seeing old photos) that I had attended many costume parties as a kid. Those are the "carnival" parties, and if my memory isn't failing me, it's usually before Christmas. Anyway, I know that I've dressed up as the German sprite Pumuckl (or however his name is spelled). One time it was the China national army (don't ask why. I think my mom was trying to be political or something). Oh and there was once I as Little Red Riding Hood and my Sis as the Big Bad Wolf. Though the costume I loved the best wasn't one of mine - I saw that on the photo of my Little Red Riding Hood costume.... behind me stood a big man-sized tube of toothpaste.
Yes, that tube of toothpaste had got to be my favorite costume of all time LOL
3. What is your favorite type of candy?
I don't know what would comprise of usual Halloween candy but... I'm partial to Snickers or Mars type of candy bars - the mini bite sized versions especially!
4. What are your feelings on pumpkin flavoring or pumpkin spice flavoring?
No comment. I like pumpkin soup. I like pumpkin bread. But admittedly these are just everyday things made. I tried a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte the other day and it was terrible, but I also believe it wasn't the proper "pumpkin spice" taste, so I shall continue to hold judgement.
5. With October almost gone, what was your favorite part of the month?
October so far has been a very torturous month for me. I'm trying to keep optimistic that many good things happened as well, but I don't really like my October 2017 so far.
