Appendicitis
Sunday, 12 August 2018 18:29So my carefully planned weekend is no more.
I was rushed to the hospital on Friday night, stayed the night, then Saturday was surgery, and here I am now, Sunday, bored out of my mind.
I blacked out a bit after they put this needle in. Thinking back, it was somewhat funny, but I guess the nurse was terrified.
My stomach hurts, but I’m supposed to try to walk around. Informed my boss but he replied nonchalantly an “ok”. So I informed another colleague as well, coz I’m sure my boss will not inform HR or whatever.
I’m bored.

Also I've had patients pass out when I'm putting in IVs. It happens. It's not like something she should have been surprised with. Unless they are a new nurse maybe it's never happened to them before.
