Parents are back

So the parents are back.

It was all nice and glorious... for the first hour. Haha, jokingly of course.

I got used to being able to hole up in my room and work on my journal undisturbed, but now dad barges in and starts a monologue rant for 35 minutes (which he has ranted about previously on different occasions), mom comes in every 5 minutes to ask stupid things (“why is this lying around in the living room?” Answer: anything lying around outside of my room, talk to your other daughter. I don’t leave my stuff outside)

The dogs are happy of course. Now let’s see how long my sis and my efforts at trimming down the dogs’ weight can last. Our particular problem dog Woofy (a min pin) is now down to 4.3kg. (At one point in time he was 6-ish, waaaay overweight).

Going off to China with mom later today. She needs to get her gel manicure removed for a doctor appointment next week, and she’s going to show me where the nail parlour is, so I might dabble into the gel nails world again. We’ll see.

Incidentally it’s also mom and dad’s 40th marriage anniversary. I’ve tried to arrange something nice for them but they just vehemently reject everything, so ok, I’ll leave it to you to decide.

I know the feeling of the interruptions, haha. My mother would always knock on my door or call me downstairs all the time. When I first moved out for college, it felt so weird, but nice, to not be constantly interrupted.
