Friday Five 11-January
Friday, 11 January 2019 22:511. Do you have a favorite piece of jewelry? Describe.
I’m a pretty boring person when it comes to jewelry. Well, I do have a ton of them, but I’m also lazy, so when I wear a certain piece of jewelry and can get away with it, it’ll stay on for years. I guess for now my favourite piece of jewelry is this cross pendant I bought in Bulgaria or Romania.
2. Is there a piece of jewelry that you wear daily? Describe.
As mentioned above, I currently wear a cross pendant, I think I’ve had it on for 2 or 3 years since I bought the pendant. I suppose a day will come when I’ll jusr suddenly change the pendant, then wear the next one for a few years. Same for earrings, though maybe they don’t stay on years... but still months... (yes I know, hygiene and whatnot)
3. What is the most costly piece of jewelry you own?
It’s either the diamond ring my mom got me for my Bachelor Graduation or the pair of Empress Sisi earrings.
4. What piece of jewelry would you secretly (or not so secretly) love to own, but do not? Why don't you?
Actually, although I have a ton of jewelry, I’m not really very keen on them. Now that I have my Apple Watch, I shouldn’t wish for watches. Well at least, before the dawn of Apple Watches, I got myself a very nice Tsumori Chisato kitty cat watch. Shit, I say I love it but I have no idea where I kept it since the Apple Watch...
5. Is there a piece of jewelry you once owned but no longer own? What happened to it?
I have a weird relationship with earrings. I own a ton of crap earrings (think H&M, Forever21 caliber crappy stuff) coz I can only own these. Every time I own a pair of real authentic expensive earrings, one of them WILL GET LOST. I had a pair of cutesy star-and-moon authentic white gold stud earrings. I lost one of it when I went swimming. My dog back then scratched my face trying to swim and that’s how I lost it (remember, when I put on a something, it tends to stay for a while). Another time I had a pair of authentic tri-gold (gold, rose gold, white gold) hoop style earrings. Funny thing, it was also a dog. I was trying to rescue a super hyper and friendly lost dog (while I was searching for another lost dog) and was trying to “restrain” that dog because he was so out of control trying to hump me. In the end I lost an earring in my struggle and I couldn’t locate that other dog I was originally looking for (eventually found some 3 weeks later). A couple other incidents as well. Meanwhile, my crappy cheap earrings are still all happily paired.
