The home renovations are starting to tire on me. Finally we are working on the kitchen, after that it’s just the living room extension, and that’s just painting the wall and not any drilling/scrapping/furniture installation... so maybe in 2 weeks we are gonna be done.

Let me show you my room! My books and final Knick-knacks are still in the warehouse, and we also had to put a few things in temporarily, so a lot of the “loose items” will definitely change... but here it is!

I had my bed flipped against this wall and requested for the bed to be built flush against the opposite wall to the windows. Now, I have a reading corner by the window and at night if my dog wants to sleep on the bed, I push him down to that corner so they won’t get blasted by the aircon, and I still have the entire bed for myself!

My sis decided to change to a queen bed, so when she wanted to throw out her single mattress, I took it and cut it up to fit into the extension of my bed. Next I will need some extra bedspread and a tough material in case the dogs start scratching. I didn’t think I could do some proper DIY hahaha.

Oh and the bed is also storage, underneath it the guy made compartments so we can store stuff.

Yes the cabling of the TV is still messy because the Reno guys forgot to cut a hole on the shelf plate! They are the ones to ask me if I needed a hole and I said yes, and now they are the ones to forget it. That long stand thing is a steam-iron and will go when all the renovations are done.

I may get a small potted plant to place at the window sill... but then what it the cat climbs and makes it fall, then my bed would be a mess...

There’s a lot of temporary crap up here and I will have to go through my books to choose what goes on the shelf. Because the stupid guy said there’s not enough space to make a second shelf to make the same L-shape reading nook I had with this set up, I’ve lost a lot of shelf space.

I call him stupid because after this was made and we placed the piano, there was still enough space to make that shelf (because of the length of the piano). He was just lazy or didn’t want the trouble of designing the furniture with the weird set up of my room (there’s a few weird nook space in my room. You can see the shelf goes into that nook, and it is just the width of a single bed, so if he had to make that other shelf he’d have to think how to get the bed partially away from the nook)

My piano also came in and one of the things that the Reno guys actually got right is the shelf on the left side - the shelf plate is the same height as the piano. When the piano is closed it serves as my writing desk, and that extended shelf space will hold my stationary and laptop. Today there are 2 bottles of water on the piano because the guys are working on the kitchen and I wanted to get my store of water in place.

Ignore all the crap under the piano, those are temporary.

And finally on this wall, that Chinese style cupboard or whatever will go (it’s from the living room), I guess the bike will stay as I’m the only one who uses it. I will also have them install a row of hanger hooks below the puzzles.

With this set up I have a huge empty space in the middle (dog bed aside), so I have space for my yoga mat when I want to practice yoga.

Can’t wait until all renovations done and we can put stuff back together in place!
