Goodbye Woofy

Our Min-Pin Woofy (also known as Pequinai, Pequi, 5-Litres, 豬精) passed away on Thursday 5 Sept 2019. His heart just stopped when he went for another abdominocentesis procedure to drain the water from his ascites/abdominal effusion.
We already feel his absence (no dog barking and demanding for food at 8am and 6pm on time, daily).
It was kind of expected so we aren’t overly emotional. I had to leave earlier (4pm) from work to see the clinic and make arrangements, but I was still able to get to work the day after.
We are going to cremate him (we asked to be present to see the cremation) and will keep the ashes. My dad said he’s going to keep the ashes on his bedside table (wtf?) and when he dies he’d like to have that buried with him. Then he lamented the lack of taxidermy services in Macau as he wanted to stuff the dog (double wtf?).
I’m ok, sad of course, but more ok than when my other dog passed. I guess we just learn how to cope with the loss as we lose more.
Anyway, at least this way he’s not suffering anymore, and over the rainbow bridge with all the other doggies and kitties from the family and other friends too.
