October Reading Challenge + Bucket List

So I did spend some time yesterday browsing through Goodreads and their book/reading clubs. One of the clubs asked for a bucket list, and from the bucket list, choose a book that's somehow related to one of the items on the list.
So, I've been thinking about my bucket list. I never really had a list per se, but i had things that I wanted to be done. However, I've achieved some of those things, so I'm not sure, now that I'm actually writing this list, should I keep the completed stuff as well, or put new ones in?
In the end, I've decided to keep the ones I had completed as well.
My Bucket List
It does seem that most of the things on my list have been completed... I might go add to the list later.
And now, find a book that fits any of that.

My Bucket List
Complete the NaNoWriMo at least once(I don't remember now, but I actually completed it twice I think. I'm sure I did the 2014)Get my own space(didn't get to move out, but managed to persuade Mom to actually free up the third room so now I don't have to share a room with my Sis)- Travel - no definite "finish line" for this one! So I can't cross it out.
Get a tattoo, which I did already. Considering to get another! (With a better artist)- Save a dog (I seem to be constantly doing this... and it will just continue, I suppose). I'm not crossing this out either... coz when one of my current dogs cross the rainbow bridge, I'll probably go save another
- Do something daring. Which I've done just last month... walking that Skywalk thing. But I'm not crossing this out yet, coz I'm actually comtemplating the SkyJump (it's a controlled fall, not a bungee jump)
It does seem that most of the things on my list have been completed... I might go add to the list later.
And now, find a book that fits any of that.
- NaNoWriMo.... guess I can find a book by a NaNo writer? Or a book about authors?
- Space and rooms.... a book about apartment hunting...?? There was a Fanfiction I read about doing a house makeover that wasn't bad! LOL
- Travel... needs to be more specific... I can't just read a travel guidebook. There's of course that "Time Traveller's Wife" or something of that name.... bestsellers, I avoid....
- Tattoo... first thing that comes to mind is the book "Girl with the dragon tattoo" or something along those lines. Again, a bestseller at some point in time... And I tend to avoid that.
- Dogs... sounds like a good topic, maybe I can go read another book by James Herriot. I read one of his books already, and I meant to read another, after all!
- Adventure... Shouldn't be hard to find, I guess!

Date: 2020-09-29 18:02 (UTC)That's awesome you've completed the nanowrimo before. I think I set out to do it once before, ages ago but didn't get too far. I was optimistic about writing for a brief time but it's just not really my thing for the most part.
SAVE ALL THE PUPPERSSSSSS!
I think it would be really neat to read a book someone else wrote for nanowrimo. Maybe someone on your flist has done it and would let you read theirs? YOU CAN TRADE!? Such a neat idea.
