It's Sunday, and it's the last of day of this 4-day weekend. Coming up next, my ongoing 3-day weekends until the end of the year. Oh, and there will be a 5-day weekend in December where there are some other public holidays sprinkled here and there.

I've been sleeping the night without switching on the air-conditioner since 1-October. It's weird, I haven't been sleeping exactly well (always woke up in the middle of the night for a pee trip) but when I wake up in the morning I feel more alert. And with this prompt my brain is going off tangent in the lines of "maybe I like the air-con and my room being freezing cold because I get to hibernate" or something.

And it seems I'm the first one up on this fine Sunday morning , so I started the day with a half hour Yoga session. Forgive my unmade bed. I only make the bed after the dog wakes up and leaves the bed. I need to do more stretches. I can't put my heels down when I'm doing an Up Dog and a Seated Hero is impossible for me. Though, I've read somewhere that the Seated Hero is a pose to avoid, so I don't know. Fact is, I can't even touch my toes, be it a bend when I'm standing or seated.

I've been doing some shopping. Just before the holidays, I scoured around Taobao (China mega online shopping platform) and got myself some watch bands and a new phone case. I even did some "negotiating" on a customized case printing. The purple watch band is a little tricky to remove from the watch itself, but still doable... with a bit of force. The... is that called houndstooth or crane pattern? Is more a preparation for winter. It would make such a nice winter band, wouldn't it? I still have a white watch band and a checkered pattern one coming in later, but the shop replied saying they were already on holidays, so they can only send it after.

The big secret here is, I actually upgraded my Apple Watch as well. I walked past the Apple Store the other day, asked them if I can keep using my same old watch bands with the newest Apple Watch (S6), and traded in my old one. I know if I had the patience to sell off my S3 Apple Watch, I would have gotten more than what Apple is giving me for, considering my S3 is in VERY GOOD condition, but I'm lazy to hunt for a reputable buyer, and it was kind of a spur of the moment thing. (And nobody at home noticed it yet, so no one's nagging me about spending money.)

Reading is progressing pretty well. I'm averaging around 100 pages per day and am already half way through my current book. I still have a lot of idle time during the day that I should be able to read more, but I don't want to suffer a burnout so early on, so I'm pacing myself. Though, I think I'll sit down and read some more this afternoon.

Awesome news about your reading progress!

That's really neat you can still use the same watch bands with the newer product. I have a fitbit I need to look into upgrading. I've thought about getting an apple watch before but they just seem so expensive for what I think I would personally use it for. Like I only use my fitbit for time and for the basic fitness tracking. How do you like the apple watch? Would you recommend it?

I’ve used a Fitbit before, but not the watch type. It was a clip thing to clip on clothes, so I can’t compare a Fitbit with the Apple Watch exactly.

I guess I just like the compatibility (I use the iPhone), so I don’t need to download another app to use the watch. I also like that I can use the Apple Watch directly for my running app (I use the Nike Running Club app), so I can just keep my phone in my pocket or pouch and not have to take it out and then hurry to put it back into the pouch before the countdown ends, haha. First World problems, maybe, but it is more convenient.

I also like the new watch faces but again, it’s just a fancy function and not necessarily essential.

But really, I also mostly only use it for tracking my stand/exercise/move for the day haha

Yeah, I think that was the first fitbit I had too. It was called like the Fitbit one or something?

Thanks for the input! I honestly don't even need a new one atm. I really just need to get a band made from a different material because my current one keeps eating my skin. They're all just so pricy to begin with. D:
